Iceforest Siberian Cattery

Breeders of Traditional Siberian Forest Cats

Welcome to Iceforest Siberians

We are the Traditional Siberian Forest Cat Breeder that breeds only authentic Traditional Siberian lines. Our cats are not outbred to Himalayan/ Persian nor do they have color point or neva masquarade genetics and contain no Neva Masquarde in the blood lines making us one the oldest and most trusted breeders of true purebred siberians ” The Real Deal” in southern ontario. We are  located in Barrie Ontario Canada. Our cats and kittens are shown regularly in Canada, USA and  kittens have proven Champion lines or  are  champions themselves in TICA, FiFe and CCA shows.

Our  Siberian  Journey  began  with  three  fabulous  cats  that  where imported  directly from Rossity Siberian Cattery in Moscow Russia . Since these cats originate in Russia, it was only natural that we went to the source to find the offspring of the finest champions for our bloodlines.

Allergies

The Siberian Forest Cat is  known for  being hypoallergenic for many people. So if  you have  allergies there is  a  good chance  that  you can own a Siberian. Most Siberians have a low  occurrence of a glyco-protein enzyme called FEL d1 in their saliva. Most  “cat Allergic” people  react to  the salivia that has high glyco -protein that has  been transfered  to the cats coat  during  grooming. Many  people  with sever cat  allergies  find that  they  can own a Siberian and  have little to  no allergic response to their cat. It  is  recommended  that  you  test your allergies with a  live Siberian, or request a fur sample to allergy test  with  from the  parents  before you buy . For  the  allergy  sufferer  there  is  now  a  very good chance,  you  can  share  you  life  with  a Siberian.

Visits/Allergy tests

We are a small homebased cattery our cats and kittens live as part of the family. We have a very busy household with  four children, two dogs a boxer and a cane corse and several cats/kitten. The cats/kittens are raised underfoot and are not raised in cages so they go to their new homes more socialized  then cage raised cats. We are very careful to protecting  our cat/kittens and other peoples investments.

We get several enquiries to coming for a visit , to pick out a kitten, or to allergy test in person:

Unfortunatly due to high demand , we rarely  have  kittens available for the picking as most kittens are  reserved  pre-birth .

Due to Bio-security measures , We do not always have kittens available to view or visit as most have not yet  developed  their own immune systems and we are not willing to risk of outside biological exposer.

We do encourage you to order a fur sample to be sent to you home to  judge your allergies accordingly
